Larry Kimmel is a Member in the Newark and Wilmington offices of Kimmel, Carter, Roman & Peltz, P.A., a Delaware personal injury and workers’ compensation law firm. His practice is primarily focused on personal injury, workers’ compensation, and construction law. Mr. Kimmel has several years of experience representing clients throughout Delaware.

Mr. Kimmel has a successful track record of obtaining positive awards for his clients. He knows how to effectively negotiate with insurance companies and works diligently to achieve the best possible outcome in each case. In September 2011, he successfully negotiated a $700,000 settlement for one of his clients. The following month, he obtained a $3.3 million settlement in another case. If a reasonable negotiated settlement proves impossible, Mr. Kimmel will take your case to trial and follow it through to completion. He is a skilled advocate in the courtroom. Recently, the Superior Court of Delaware, New Castle County granted Mr. Kimmel‘s motion for summary judgment in favor of his clients in Garey v. Hartford Underwriters Ins. Co. after an insurer refused to reform his clients’ uninsured motorist policy limits. Mr. Kimmel takes several cases to jury trial each year, and has many impressive jury verdicts.

Mr. Kimmel received his B.A. from Cornell University, his J.D. from Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law, and his M.B.A. from Temple University, Fox School of Business. He also studied at the University College of London in London, England. Mr. Kimmel is admitted to practice law in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Courts for the District of Delaware and the District of New Jersey. Mr. Kimmel is a Delaware Bar Association member and Vice Chairman of the Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section. He is also Vice President of the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Additionally, he is the author of several legal articles. He is the Chairman of the Jewish Federation of Delaware’s Ben Gurion Society. Mr. Kimmel is also a volunteer with Gift of Life Delaware. He and his wife, Kimberly, are the proud parents of twins, Daniel and Juliette.
